Beastly 2011 is an adaptation on the novel of the same name by Alex Flinn. The film is produced by Susan Cartsonis, Roz Weisberg, and Michael Flynn and is written and directed by Daniel Barnz. It stars Vanessa Hudgens, Alex Pettyfer, Mary Kate Olsen, Neil Patrick Harris and Lisa Gay Hamilton. Beastly is distributed by CBS Films and Alliance Films and is slated for a wide release in theaters on March 4, 2011.
Beastly focuses on Kyle Kingson, a handsome man with a wicked cruel streak. When he ditches a date, a spell is cast upon him, turning him into unrecognizable and unattractive. The distorted transformation leaves him with the seemingly impossible task of finding true love to break the curse.
